Planting The Seed

The Egyptians made much of the symbol of the thought-form as the 'seed' (as Jesus preferred to call it) and as a 'Ball'. . . . In the language of the kahunas, they spoke of a ball ... of thought forms sent from the night of the dense physical world to the light world . . ."

The first step in preparing the seed to be planted requires that the conscious mind do its work. This work entails 6 steps:
- Determination of the change one wants to make in the life. What is it that you desire to manifest?
- Carefully consider the implications, the total outcome, of the desired manifestation. What will my life be like when this occurs? Have I considered all of the attendant changes that will accompany the central change? Am I willing to accept the new responsibilities that will come with this change? Does this change support my growth in spiritual/physical/emotional/mental terms? If not, why do I want this change? Asking yourself these questions can forestall harmful or counter-productive requests.
- Consider how your desire will affect the lives of others. Will this change bring hurt or harm to anyone else? Will this change bring hurt or harm to any aspect of myself? For instance, you could ask for a better paying job that would bring you financial success and social standing. When the job did in fact manifest you found that you no longer had time to spend with your family and in effect both they and yourself were emotionally wounded.
- Determine what actions the conscious self can and will take to assist the manifestation of the change. What can I do today? What habit, behavior, thought can I sacrifice to make this change possible. Sometimes one must simply sacrifice the belief that one doesn't deserve what is being asked for. Or perhaps your situation is so entrenched in negative thought forms that you don't think change is possible. In this case you might adopt a neutral position and temporarily suspend disbelief in the capacity or willingness of the universe to support you. In the example above, perhaps you think of life as a series of trade-offs, I can be rich and successful, or I can spend time with my family. Give up the trade-off; request the job that gives you a sense of personal success and financial fulfillment and the time to enjoy your success with your family.
- Finally, you can begin to form an image of the change/desire you wish to manifest. Use words to write it down: observe whether your description contains any 'ifs' or 'nots' in the phrasing, eliminate negative phrasing. Make your description as detailed and clear as possible, in as few words as possible. Focus on one request (the request above may seem to be 3 requests, but actually it is one request with boundaries set). Avoid placing limitations on exactly how this change will manifest. Then form the words into a mental image of self standing in the midst of the outcome/manifestation. Check again to see if this is really what you want. The vividness of your imagery is important. See details. Imagine the emotions you will experience. When you feel it is a complete and clear verbal and imagery thought form, you are ready to plant the seed.
Now it's time to send the thought form, or seed, to the subconscious. Meditate while gathering your thought form into clarity, focus attention at the brow. Breath four slow deep breaths, for four cycles, (i.e., 16 breaths). Now address your subconscious by moving your attention to your solar plexus and say the words to the subconscious ending your statement with 'This is so'; send the visual image to the subconscious, and a request that this be sent to the High self (superconscious) along with a gift of mana. Add 'no hurt, no harm to anyone'. Never forget to let the subconscious know you recognize it as your co-creative partner and you appreciate its cooperation.
Reinforce, or water, the seed each day with additional mana. Take the time to breath and hold your image clearly in your mind and give thanks for the blessings that ARE coming into physical manifestation. At this point it's good to adopt an attitude of 'no hurry, no worry' - what is yours will come. Expect the universe to respond as you respond to the universe.
In the beginning, this may seem like a rather artificial process. But when you consider how much time we spend daily in an automatic state of consciousness: sending, without any rhyme or reason, our vague, confused, and often competing desires to our subconscious, it is a wonder anything ever happens. Living 'on automatic' we often don't even know what our desire is and certainly haven't built a fund of positive will. So when one begins this process the most profound initial effect will be in gaining some degree of clarity about who you are, what you really want, how who you are needs to change, and how you have or haven't been leading a 'hurtless, harmless life'. You begin to care more about the waves you create in the universe.
